similar problem here, except I spent 8 hrs swapping the sump, started her and have no rev, fuel or temp...
thinking it may be the c101 socket on the bulkhead next to the fuse box, but any other suggestions greatly appreciated!

I had a similar problem and I'm presuming it can be either your batteries have gone on your SI board or the gold earthing nut behind the rev counter as come loose.
Good Luck !!!

Start saving up for a new SI board, or at least some batteries for it.

It's a circuit board that has most of the electronics on it for the instrument panel, and also contains the electronics for the Service Interval (hence SI board) computer, which controls the row of green LEDs + red and yellow LED in the centre bottom of the instruments.
This board has a couple of batteries on it which maintain the computer's memory if the main car battery is disconnected.
Earlier boards have two AA sized NiCd rechargeable cells fitted to them which die with age and then go short circuit, pulling down the supply voltage to the rest of the electronics. If the dead cells are left in place, they will then leak and corrode the circuit board, rendering it scrap.
Later boards have two smaller non rechargeable lithium batteries fitted which normally don't give problems.
Lithium batteries cannot be fitted to the earlier board.
