Hi All

In the process of having the Air Con recharged on the M3 and discovered a leaky pipe. :(

The system has been upgraded to R134 and some stage and to make one of the pipes fit it has been slightly bent, but this has now caused it to leak.

Received the new pipe from BMW, but it needs to have this slight bend to make it fit.

I have tried, and failed, to find somebody who can bend the pipe properly for me or to find another fitting for the pump.

Has anybody come across this and have a way to fix it or have any other ideas??

Cheers

Slarty :D

You have ordered the wrong pipe matie!

I can take a pic of the correct pipe if you still have the problem.

I am 100% sure you have the late R134a compressor on there too, thats why the pipe dont fit.

My local BMW dealer tells me that itâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s the correct pipe, :x it has the 134 fitting on it as well??

If it is not too much trouble can you take a pic, a part number would be perfect as well.. :D

Cheers

I think thats the suction side you have there, so the part number should be.

64 52 8 379 783

is that the same as yours?

I think you might have 64 53 8 391 051?

I now have air conditioning, yay!!! :D Pity the summers nearly overâ┚¬Ã‚¦

Big thanks to Andrew, that part number actually turned out to be another fitting for the compressor with a slightly different angle and not a new pipe.

Job done, marvellous. 8)
