I seem to be getting a clicking noise from behind the dash area which is dependant on rpms upto 3000 then goes.
Earlier in the year I had the car changed from auto to manual and bought a new clutch and release bearing. Shortly afterwards I could hear a rattle like what a duff release bearing sounds like and was told not to bother doing anything about it. I was also informed that the only other thing that causes that noise could be the input shaft for the gear box. Do you think that the input shaft has totally gone now and causing this noise at low rpms?

Dude, did they fit a spigot bearing in the crank during the swop ?? if not the input shaft will not have been retained correctly.

I did give them one, but can't say for sure if they used it.
It wasn't making this noise before.
