wonder what manifold he used to get it to fit to a RHD car?
looks OK, but the front and rear screens aren't bonded and the roof line/back window profile is still not correct...

Well its basically an M3, it has everything!
I think it will either go for OTT money (4k+ IMO) because chavs can insure it as a 320i or it will go sensible money because its not an original M3.
Personally i would consider anything under 3.5k to be a good deal if its in decent condition.
Let em know if you want me to check it for you mate
Ben

Whoever it is has done a good job - except for that PS2 instal
Makes me wonder how other jobs are done which are 'out of sight, out of mind'... though in saying that if I'd probably still buy it
if I hadn't ploughed all my money into me own car
'89 325i - was an SE but not anymore, was bronze-beige metallic (yeuch!) but now techno-violet (thankfully)
'89 Toyota Corolla GTi-16 - track, hillclimb & sprint car (yeeha!)
'08 Buell XB12Ss - American engineering at it's 'best'... good fun though

well to be honest ben, i feel this is going to go way over the 3.5k mark i really do. i can just about afford 3.5k with selling the borbets and selling the golf im currently running about in "its a nail" ... would you chuck £3.5-£4k at it, if it were your money? Honest? i totally agree its an m3 in a sense but in many other ways it isnt
it will always be a replica, never the real thing. do you think id be wasting my money?

It has the aerodynamics but not the torsional rigidity of an M3 I'd say.
Seam weld it and fit a cage and it'd be 'as good' (kind of)

£4k would buy you a 'real' nail of an M3...
This is perfectly useable.
Anymore than £4k is too much though. I'd have thought £3.5k is more realistic. How much would all the parts cost to do it yousrself?

Looks like a stolen doggy councilled M3 with a 320 log book, it wouldn't be the first and i am sure it won't be the last.

Honestly mate, i would chuck 4k into this if i was in the market. Your getting a car thats 95% an M3 for not much money.
It looks to be in great condition with reasonable miles.
Yes, you can buy a shagged M3 for 4k but then how much will you need to put in to get it right? Iv always been told a good M3 costs 10k, regardless of how much you actually buy it for.
This will never be an M3, nomatter what you do but at that money i wouldnt complain!
Just my 2p

Very good point..Looks the part, but does it grive like it really should, fitting a cage would be a sound option.jaistanley wrote:It has the aerodynamics but not the torsional rigidity of an M3 I'd say.

Looks pretty decent, but i have to say how much would it have cost someone to perform all that body work? A bloody lot i reckon. I mean why bother??
Secondly, will it have all the same suspension geometry? After all that makes up a big part to the legendary handling that is the M3.
If it goes for a price it'd be worth buying and tracking. Id still feel short changed, knowing that i dont actually own an m3.
Horses for courses....I want the real deal!!!!!
