... will this ruin the shock? i relaise it will put more pressure on them but do i really have to buy the whole kit? i want to drop 60 at the rear and 40 at the front.

im so sexy justin brought me back 5 times

Anything more than 40mm and shorter shocks are required/recommended.

The shock would be so compressed that it would be left with minimal travel. You'd be bottoming out everywhere!

cool thanks DA i got the info i needed. so guess i got to look for the whole kit. to be honest i like the way my tourer handles but they just look better lower.

Go for a 40/40 drop. It's plenty low enough in my opinion and you'll save money on shocks.

and u don't want to drop the rear by 60mm and the front 40mm mate it will look silly

If anything you want 60 front & 40 rear as the front sits higher to start with.
