Hello can someone please help! my steering has gone very heavy , the power steering only works a little less and less ,it started to click like it was catching or rubbing when i turned . and it almost felt like the steering lock was gonna activate. is this my seering rack or fluid or pump? thank you robbo80

Check the tension on your belt and how much fluid you have first.

If not, change the fluid and fit a new belt, and if you are still having problems, then it's probably a dodgy pump, I had one go on me, it got worse over time, and made a lot of groaning noises in the end.

pas fluid is on the sidewall passenger side of engine bay has a twist top bout 3inch

and pas belt is the one below the alternator belt pump again is on passenger side at front of engine

Mine was like this until I found out I needed a new pump and rack as some idiot had used normal oil instead of transmission oil what a dope!!!!

ok thank you. well i topped the fluid up ,made no difference , im gonna syringe it all out and and put new in . the steering is working a bit , its still a bit of differnce from when engine is not running.

Well i changed all te fluid , its better , i can hear the pump now on full lock very winey , and steering is generally noisey.
