If GandS and Euros, bith want that. Chances are thats the price. You could try BMW, as they can be a bit random with their prices and might be a lot cheaper.

Get a brand new one as and make sure it's a Bosch!
Get the complete unit, much easier to change aswell.

Fuel at the pump seams to be around 92.8p a litre near me at the shell, which is the cheapest I have seen in ages.
Oh fuel pump in the car.....get it fixed so you can enjoy the cheapish fuel...

well bmw want about 140 quid although i do usually get a discount so that would knock it down, as previously said, ecp and gsf want about 110-120 for one, or do i get a cheap second hand one and then a cheap spare..........might just go for a newun and live on rice and beans

theyre a nightmare,it was cheaper for me to buy a escort cosworth walbro motorsport fuel pump than it was to buy a standard one from ecp.and it was a direct replacement

just buy a new one and don't be tight. chances are a secondhand one will be growling away in no time.
2 year warranty with BMW parts, fit it and forget about it

There's no point in buying a second hand one, as chances are its just as old as your knackered pump!! Try B&B Components in maidstone 01622677662. I bought one from there, genuine bosch too. Circa £95/100 as i recall. You aint going to get it cheaper than that!
Good luck.

Chris, I replaced the fuel pump on the sport at the same time as it had the cylinder head replaced, probably about 4 months before you bought it from me, replacement pump was a bosch.
Have you checked the soldering? The replacement required wiring to be soldered to the new pump.

i'll check that simon cheers, i thought it strange as it wasn't particularly noisy, even with the rear seat out and the cover plate off it was almost silent, i had to put my hand on top to feel the vibration to make sure it was spinning
i'll give it a look tomorrow afternoon when i get in

Yip, easy job in the end. Though I had to pay the Euro price
Worse, the 2nd hand pump which I had cancelled cause it hadn't arrived last Friday as ordered turned-up this morning - cheeky blighters, do you think I'll get my money back!?

'89 325i - was an SE but not anymore, was bronze-beige metallic (yeuch!) but now techno-violet (thankfully)
'89 Toyota Corolla GTi-16 - track, hillclimb & sprint car (yeeha!)
'08 Buell XB12Ss - American engineering at it's 'best'... good fun though
