First question: If I am using an M30 260 box, will I have to shorten the shift linkage? I am positioning the motor so that the back of the head is basically 3-4mm from the firewall. I think I read somewhere that I should be able to just slip it all together without shortening the linkage, just want to confirm that...
Second Question: With the motor in the position that I described, what is my best bet for a driveshaft? Front half of a 535i shaft mated to the rear half of the 325i/e shaft?
Thanks guys!

Some people have used the 325 gear linkage.
The best prop to use is the e30 m3 one or as you say make one up.

I agree.
My 325i gear linkage is the correct length and I shortened the front half of the 535i prop and mated it to the rear of the E30 prop.
E30 M3 prop is best so I believe but much harder and more expensive to get hold of.
