hi guys just curious on your experiences of corroded rear arches? if any one has been unfortunate enough! and the best way to treat them, whether it would be worth while replacing the whole arch? or would a bit of patching up do the trick? any advice on this matter would be appreciated fella's n fellaess's

Firstly it depends on how bad they are, if you are a confident person with a grinder and a wire wheel why not take away all the rust then treat the affected area with a rust treatment like the one hammerite do, then add a coat of zinc primer after lightly rubbing down to inhibit the rust then with some "Davids P40" fiberglass to reshape the arch followed by Davids P38 to give a nice smooth sand easy finnish, then over coat with a normal primer, now for the top coat, you have got to contend with color matching, best to leave that to the pro's or if your happy that the paint hasnt faded then give it a go yourself. Its best to try and spray a whole panal rather than one area as its hard to blend on a flat surface.

Other than that get it to a body shop with some new arches and let them do all the hard work (for a bit more cash)
