Hi guys,

Ive just realised a dream and bought a 320is - its AWESOME!! :D Havent stopped smiling since I bought it.

Only problem is the exhaust is on the way out, and I was wondering whether Im better off with a supersprint or milltek exhaust.

I dont want anything too chav or loud, more interested in quality and perhaps a modest increase in horses, but my priority isnt how loud or big the tailpipes are. Subtlety is the key here!

Any experiemce/views/advice warmly received!

Cheers

Supersprint is much better built than a Milltek.

I ordered a Milltek for my M3 and was not impressed to say the least.

Supersprint sounds better and you don't lose all your bottom end grunt like you do with the Milltek.

Supersprint don't make the rear box for the 320iS anymore though but still make the Centre section (see Zone shop).

The only option you have is to adapt the Supersprint M3 back box to fit your 320iS. Not hard.

Well the stock 320is centre section is only £300 new from BMW.

But i would also go with supersprint. Its a very good system.

I have not experienced miltek for myself, but quite a few S14 owners i know dont really rate them for performance or quality.

I'd say completely the opposite, most of the PBMW race cars run Miltek and the quality is absolutely superb

Perfect fit, and a nice exhaust note and subtle looks

Jimmy,

The quality is no where near as good as the Supersprints. The noise is ok but being a single pipe system it does no favours for torque spread which is no good for the S14.

I have fitted 2 of these systems myself and they are an absolute whore to get the tail pipes to line up properly.

Bexley Motorworks have also said exactly the same things as myself and many other S14 owners who have experienced them.

I've had similar problems with Milltek with alot of the VW models aswell.

They are slowly getting better but the S14 system is to be avoided if there are alternatives out there like Supersprint range.

Cant comment on those systems but the 320i straight through systems we run are excellent, and as said the quality is superb, and fitting is perfect?

Shame you haven't had the same experience, never seen a supersprint so no idea how it compares

Aaah, it's one of those systems specially made for Thorney.

Fairly simple design those. Probably better because they are being used in the race series.

Are they loud?

Any good for road use?

Another vote for supersprint... I've not got any experience of them on a s14, but I've got one on my 325. Build quality's awesome, & the sound's subtle but lovely :)

Both are very good,
But Super Sprint is the better choice by far .

It's what i have at the moment on my car :D
