So any one know what parts I'll need to swap for a 318 e30 -> 325i conversion?
I'm assuming ECU, and engine obviously, any one know if you have to change the loom?
Any fundemental differences between a standard e30 325i chassis and a e30 318i one?
Just want to know out of curiosity at the moment.

i removed an engine with the loom recently - it is actually really easy!
The only loom you need to worry about is the one connected to the ecu, and that pulls straight out from the bulkhead. You can leave the rest connected to the engine!
You will also need the propshaft, gearbox and diff.
It may also be worth upgrading the shocks for 6 pot ones.
