Hi.

Just a quickie.... my sterling silver is whowing v fine lines on its bonnet... not scratches but like very fine crazing.....

Is there any way this can be buffed/polished out... and what casues this?

Any help / advice / words of encouragement appreciated!?! :o

Sounds like the lacquer is cracking...

If the paint is cracked, then you can only strip it and repaint...

Dulux is on offer @ B&Q, plus it's 10% off day on Wednesday for the 'older generation' go grab a granny :D

ok can the laquer be removed and resprayed easily?

If have peeled a wing once then resprayed laqur on , though its fing hard, as it depends on your base coat i was bloody lucky though it was a pug 205 so a very small area. Less your an expert, looks like a runb down and respray. There are many reasons for Laqure peeling, one could be a reaction of your base coat and putting laqure on would only repeat the problem. To be sure total rub down primer base and laq .

Age old adge " if it ant broke dont fix it!" if they are only faint lines leave it until it starts to crack, might takes ages. So dont worry. There are many rheads on painting costs. If you got the time do it yourself. I do!. winkeye
