Same old story I know, but the old girl's failed her exams.

Something's loose in the fuel system (pump, I think), the emmisions are dodgy, the handbrake's STILL fucked :cursin: , and there's a 3 inch hole near the front ARB mounts.

Very much

Anybody lend me a gazillion squid?

The emissions won't be much, most of the time it just needs some redex in the system and a good blast preferably down the motorway if theres one near and take it back the mot station red hot ! The holes by the ARB are bad news though, nothin a zoney who can weld can't help with !

Ta! The initial horror is fading; a welder's having a look now, and the garage already said the emissions is nowt.

I just hope I can fix that sodding handbrake... where's my LARGEST & HEAVIEST hammer...

Have you cleaned the hand brake with lots of brake cleaner? also give the cable a bit of a WD40/grease. That should help it!

Oh, it's much worse than that. The back-plates are corroded; I've had to do some Heath-Robinson bolts and washers thing on it just to keep the shoes in place. I don't know what's wrong with it now, but if that hasn't worked it's back to the drawing board. Maybe it's just come loose again though.
