My rear windows don't work.
However, when you push the button on the door, they click inside the motor, but don't move. Is this a burnt out motor? or just the cabling rusted stuck? Trying to get some more info before I pull the motors out.. it's a bit of a pain to get at 1 of the bolts!

If you can hear a click from inside the door panel, it is the motor...
Easy swap, though finding a working one is harder...There are 2 versions, too...early and late types.

i think i need the late one.
I'll try the switch.
Is the loom sposed to be so short you can't plug it in with the doorcard off?

mine was very short...but don't see why you need a door card...The switch pops out of the card and the back-piece/loom connector is inside the door, not the card...Is the loom sposed to be so short you can't plug it in with the doorcard off?
TBH, if you can hear the motor actuating (clicking), but the window doesn't move then it can only be either the motor seized or the slider mechanism either bent or seized in some way...The switch is obviously working as it is supplying a current to the motor in order for it to click!!

i meant when trying to put the card back on.. it's soooo short you have to guess when it's going to be on.. or wangle the door so that the switch sits half on the plug and then try to push the rest on with eth car d.. might try to free some length up.
Will have a look at the motor tomorrow.
Cheers

yeah..it is that short...but I found it not too hard to pull enought through after refitting te door card fully...Just make sure it is resting on the metal of the door rather than dangling inside before you replace the card..
