Hello!

I'm suffering from a fuel leak or so it seems! :(

Does anyone know if the early fuel tanks are different to the later ones?

Only ask as I know the early cars have an external high pressure fuel pump whereas the later ones have an in-tank affair.

RealOEM seems to think they're the same but I'd like to be sure!

Cheers!

early and late are diff Alex, late as you've stated has the fully submersable pump assy and is larger capacity.

you should be able to swop to the later with a few electrical tweaks and some fuel line re-routing, not 100% the early tanks are still readily available.

Arse, that's a shame!

I've got a mega flow external pump kicking about that would be ideal for bigger injectors and the like.

I'm guessing at it being the royalest of royal pains in the backside to get the tank off too?!

actually dude, provided you can lift her high enough, its not a massive PITA, few hours work though.

Theo is breaking a Tech 1 sport, maybe the tank from that one is in good condition? worth a PM, its the correct type.
