I have a set of 16" GOLD bbs split rims on my 1987 M3.
Does anybody know if these were an additional spec extra available from BMW at that time.
I have never seen a set of wheels like this on another M3 and wondered if they belonged to another BMW.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Regards.

I'm pretty sure those will be aftermarket.

Hi, They were an factory option extra !.
They are BBS "RS" 3 peice splits.
Allot of E30's came with them, but they were 4x100pcd, as the m3 are a 5x120pcd.
This is what i have been dealing with for years ( refurbishing ect )lol.

here's mine on my g60 golf

That G60 looks bloody nice though! But Dips is right... no 4-stud E30 came with BBS splits as an option from the factory.

Who know's.
I have always been led to beleive that they come on e30's as an option from dealers?

2 piece bbs's vw option 3 piece BBS splits , >option were BMW , Audi / Merc's , and many others,
But i have always bought e30 splits because they fit strtaight on to v-dubs>4x100 LK

I think they were an option on the M3, i've seen a scan of a catalogue for them, it might have been a schnitzer option though!?
