Ive got a whine at the back ive changed the diff for a recon one took it in for new wheel bearing but the man at the garage said they were perfect ive got no ply in my drive shafts and all knuckles are free!!! Ive ben told it could be tyres or exhaust note but its the faster i go the louder the whine. I need help any ideas????

possibly the diff is on its way out, but before condeming it , check/change the oil and have a good look at the large bushing in the rear casing for wear, if the car is jacked on the diff, the mount will fail and can cause noise as you describe to travell into the cabin

i know it sounds stupid! but could you have any power v audio inteference! this can usually increase with speed of engine etc

na it whine the greater the speed not with the revs i had that problem when i bought the car but a new head unit sorted that out ta As to the missus shes actually a quiet one all good at the mo
