It prob is just a bulb.
Is it the 6 or 13 button obc?
The 6 button is easy, release the unit from the front and change the bulbs at the rear.
13 button one is harder and you may need to remove the heater panel. Once the obc is accessable, you will see a white section in the side, this is the light bar, you need to remove this and either: buy a new unit from BMW (about £25) or solder 2 new bulbs in (about 12p from Maplins).
Hope this helps.

Dont need to take out the heater panel bro, Just take out your set and get to the two screws inside! Then undo and push the obc back untill you can pull the bulb holder out! Solder in the new led put back and JD....Steviec wrote:It prob is just a bulb.

ive eventually got round to doing the job this morning, not a bad job to do if ya dont mind gettin poked in the ribs by the seat belt holders a few times. i did,t replace the bulbs as such, but had a freebie led strip from a mag(supposed to go under door handles) which fitted in the slot perfectly, so just wired it to the radio ignition live. works a treat, and would say cheaper than a new part and less fiddly than replacing bulbs.
but thanks for your info guys it was a great help, i wouldt have known where to start getting it lit back up again.
