accelerator pedal removal

can any one tell me how to remove the acc pedal mines broken the plastic pedal has come detached from the plastic part on the floor are they fixed to the carpet or what its a nightmare to drive at the moment

First pull off the circlip from the metal arm, slide pedal from the arm, then ease the pedal section thats broken out , using a broad tipped screw driver, fit new in reverse order.

They are not meant to be removed without damage. You are supposed to fit a new one every time.
In practice, most times they can be levered out with a screwdriver OK, but occasionally they break.

I assume you want to remove it because its broken at the bottom. I agree, it's entertaining to drive until its fixed

I took mine by carefully drilling through the plastic in a number of places and then chopping it up with a wood chisel

A bit animal I know, but it worked
