Welcome, suprised none of the late gang have welcomed you yet.

The "is" is getting rare as certain members seem to like writing them off ;) I think less than 2000 are left now, so finding a good one is hard work. They have galvanised bodies iirc so rust shouldn't be so much of an issue, as it is with many an e30.

It should return a fairly good 35mpg I would have thought, although i've never had one...its easy to tell i know :o

Bits are always available for e30's, so many are getting broken up at the moment as usually they are worth more in bits than whole cars.

Enjoy your stay

Welcome mate :)

Ah bit of a F*rd man eh-well so was i a long time ago,got a BMW and never looked back since!

318iS`s in my opinion are shit hot on fuel-im a tight fisted get who only puts a tenner in at a time and get anywhere between 60 and 75 miles out of it depending how its driven, rewarding cars to drive, pretty responsive(if not a little noisey)and handle great too!

Plenty still around for sale, think there is a few on here now?

I picked one up tonight for a friend-H reg,3 owner,Silver,Toad alarm,new Kenwood CD,absolutely no rust and very tidy paint for £700 :D

Enjoy the Zone mate and stay away from them F*rds :)

hi mate and welcome
ex ford boy myself, couple of cossies under my belt but now a bmw lad too, love em
had a couple of 318iS too, cracking cars 10 out of 10 all day long

Funnily, both of mine were sold to peeps from Ireland believe it or not, the buyer of my 2nd one reckons there huuuge demand for them over there cant remember his reason why but he says he comes over every week to buy a couple and take home.. so find yourself a nice one pretty soon and enjoy!
parts dont really cost any more than your fords, service parts are like for like as are tuning parts IMO
