Cool  , we are all mostly  here!!

That e39 was sweet. Are you planning to use the Cosworth (or M3  ) as your everyday car?? What are you currently running??

What the hells your problem?

Do you have knowlage of the e30 M3 or the e190 merc? If so, please contribute in a helpful way.

If not, go away - your not wanted or needed here. This guys done nothing to warrent such a comment.

As for your 10k claim - who really cares! 10k is not that much money, certainly not enough to be worth bragging about.

Re the 500e , i checked the car over for the current owner before he bought it , he is based in plymouth and is proper ,he also has a 70's 3.0CSL ,a B10 biturbo and an AMG SL60 :) . He has too many turds and not enough heated garages so something has to go.
Re the 190e VS M3 debate, both cars are very capable but for me the M3 wins everytime, the unique appearance and the LHD only (don't swear and mention RHD mutants ! ) add to the special sense of occasion that the mercedes lacks.

zakh u should buy a m3 cause when u come to sell it a few years later u wont lose any money :D

if u hav any money left over from your 10 grand try and find a rough cossie, store it and slowly bring it bak to life.....i'm sure u can find one for under 2k!

you will get more satisfaction from it knowing you just rescued a a cult classic car from chavs/asbos winkeye

Just my opinion.. I would take the M3 I think they'll be worth more in the future, they are also IMO better looking.

I respect the 190 cosworth but it still looks as if it should be picking you up from town after a few beers and a curry, plus do they all come with anal abacuses aka beaded seat covers?

A bit like my old M3 Sport Evo you mean? :D Just a common or garden E30 really, old H plate smoker..................

When new the 190 Cosworth was compared more to the M535i but I'd say a manual example is a good rival to an E30 M3. But an auto? No way. Imagine an E30 M3, Escort RS1600, Lotus Cortina etc with a ZF auto box up it and how nasty it would be.
Autos are nicer for wafting about in town but I'm not a fan really.

As for a Sierra - well, we're talking about a car launched 20 years ago. If you drove one as a bog standard 204 bhp car with fresh shocks and Dunlop D40's it would be great (lovely steering) - it's when the meaty sorts who own most of them start feeding 300 bhp through a standard car that things get 'lively'.
But the Cosworth YB is a great engine if a bit characterless in the same way turbo Jap stuff is. Yes, the T5 comes from the eighties US Mustang.
Shame you didnt say all this at the ring!
