steering spindle beering

hi

has anybody ever replaced the steering spindle beering on the upper steering column?

item number 10 highlighted red.

i belive this is the part that causes the play/wiggle in the steering wheel, while driving. there is a slight knock to.


anybody replaced it? how easy to do?

i done a whole coloumn on mine! didnt even think to replace those bushes while it was all out!

bastard of a job! loadsa fiddly work involved

damn, thought it would be a fiddly job, nuts and bolts and wires all over.

my steering wheel has slight play init and was advised it those bushes causing it.

anybody got phil crouch's (ex-brids recommened expert?)contact details may have to pay him a visit.
