how do touring rear seats come out?

i have got a rear headrest conversion (off ebay a while ago) which i want to fit to my touring.

how do the rear seats come out? i'm baffled!

hi not fully sure but ive dont this twice but cant remember fully but as no 1 else has replied -
you can pull the rear seats down and then they theres a thich metal plate that goes across the bottom of the seat this needs to be lifted up slightly on both sides and the seat will pop out there may be a lever or little piece of metal you need to prise outwards before you can lift the seat.but gernerally the seats need to be lifted upwards from the base where it mounts to the body of the car.
base units you probably know just squeeze 2 holes inwards and the side bolsters have a screw at the bottom of them and then these also need to be lifted up.

Rear seat backs in Tourings have a pressed steel panel as a structural backing. The upholstered seat back is hooked onto this and can be removed by simply sliding it up towards the ceiling. Dead simple. This should give you the access you need to mount your cool new headrests.

There might be a fastener at the base that holds the cushion in place, but it should be pretty obvious. You may need to flip the seat bottom cushions forward for easier access.

There's no fastener at the bottom of the seat backs - it's two spring clips. Pull forward before lifting, and don't get blood on the fabric.
Don't know how much you paid fot headrest kit, but on a Touring the parts are the same as the front seats.

the headrests only cost me Ԛ£15 delivered, not bad as they are mint with all brackets and plastic trim thingies and match my touring-sport interior!

i got leathers in my touring will this be the same for them,but i just get headrest from front leather seats ?

very easy! i did it yesterday and it took about half an hour!

it now looks the nuts!

it's a bit tricky working out how/where to pull on the seats but once the first clip goes then it's obvious.

I am trying to do this now, ive got the carpet panel off the back of the seat and there is a big metal panel so i cant get access to the metal holes to fit the kit, ive got leather in my touring { dont no if it makes a difference} but looks like it anybody ?

You don't go in from the back (carpeted) side--go in from the front. Just remove the seat back cushion and you should be set!

so what you are saying is ive got to take the leather off, or does the whole seat somehow come away from the frame

Pull the entire leather seat back off, as described in my post further up. Cheers.

grab hold of the bottom of the seat back "pad" part and pull it towards the front of the car. it's held on with lots of plastic clips. make sure the bottom of the seat is folded forwards!

when one of the flips pops out, it'll all be sickeningly obvious! it took me an hour or two of feeloing stupid before i asked on here, and another half hour to work out how to get them off!
