Haha! Nice one Si, to combat the fierce wheelspin you'll get lauching at 1k due to it being Auto! The auto is surely better suited to rolling start races!

it shall be in manual mode my friend be warned! 6k off the line into first like at ace this winter!
Then the power comes all at once through my special power sapping torque converter and then u are hurled back into it's heated sport seats at warp speeds.
U get the picture. No messing from my corner come 23rd of September

Is that staying in there for traction!? Good idea along with the big tyres? Maybe have someone sitting in the back to throw it out after the start!

your car will put in good times, mainly due to the lack of metal. and generous use of p40 on the sills, jacking points, rear arches, boot wells, etc.

I'd like to take my mates TechI 'Ring hero, it's a quick example. It's one 325 I can see in the low 15's if not extremely high 14's! It's not taxed though.....

Si, you want to hold it on the stall on the auto, at around 1800, think that's about the stall speed for the auto ZF HP 22. So one on the brake and one on the gas and when the lights change left foot off and right foot into the carpet.

don't worry i won't let the auto massive down!
best way i have found is........... it's switchable aswell u know
Is to flick it into 1-2-3 mode, place it in N and rev the tits out of it like a manual car and when the lights go green wack her back into 1! and off u go like a manual it hits 60 in 2nd being auto and long 3.64 gearing. Cotty u can just slam it into 1 from N off the lights aswell!
I raced my old sport in it and there wasn't anything in it! so i think any ropey manual 2.5s are in for a kicking
Cotty mine has Racing dynamics 6 branch and a full scorpion system. So if i'm slow at least everyone can hear it before they see it! lol
Jon, Oz's sport is a typical quick tech 1 with a few bolt on goodies!

you plan on trailering that turd home Si?
Yikes, wouldn't fancy doing that to an auto, unless I planned to set fire to it at the end of the day

no worrys.
i have a gearbox for si. for trade price.
dave
i dont think any standard 325i will break the 14 second mark. mid 15"s at the most.
i predict my cousins car(if im driving) will get low to mid 15"s.
(m50 conversion)

a rover V8 deliver more torque than an m20 could dream ove and its all low down grunt
as jonb said, if a stock 325isport gets ti the mid 15's that is good
i can get one in to the mid 14'5 with 50hp of nitrous, any volunteers for a kit supplied and fitted for £300 LoL

If a Sport does mid 15's that is good for sure.
JONbbbbbb....the only reason I say that my mates Sport might be capable of doing a high 14, is because mine can, and his car sits with mine. There's something done to it, I'm sure!

just out of interest, does anyuone have any gut feeling for what a 335i will do both in terms of time and terminal speed?
apparently santa pod won't let you run without a hemet if you pass 100mph. as i've not doen it before, i have no idea how likely this is!!!

better borrow a crash hat then, just in case!
it would suck if i did one run at 101mph terminal speed and then got banned from the strip due to lack of helmet!

cheers Kos, i reckon it'll be close enough for me to make sure i at least borrow a lid before then. it's the sensible thing to do anyway! would give the 316i badged tourer sleeper thing away when i line up with a lid on though!
