don't panic
you can buy a set of lowering springs specifically for a touring from gsf for about £45 and get them sent over to you. Let me know if you need some help finding new springs

if the higher spring is on the drivers side.. id leave it. Its a common thing to do in 4x4's.. so why would it be different to a car?. When I checked my new(thanks quaser) springs, they were uneven in length (just slightly but still.. then i just put the taller spring to the drivers side.

Not really if you have the right tools, well tool.. you will need a mill to do it basically.
Get a length of steel flat bar 50mm x 10mm x whatever length and machine a channel the same width as the diameter of the e34 eccentric bolts(38mm I think it was), I machined to a depth of 7mm, leaving 3mm of base on it. Then mark it every 50mm along the bar and mill through on 1/2" and ream out towards the raised areas. Mount on the subframe and weld all the way round. The hardest bit was milling out the existing holes on the frame, I used a dremel to do it, not fast but was the only thing I could use to get in there with, a gas axe would do it ok too but would need finished off with the dremel anyway. Mine is painted with Vactan and coated with Dinitrol, missed a couple of bits as you can see :p

The idea was taken from http://e30m3performance.com/installs/in ... /index.htm
The part numbers they have listed are wrong though, check it off against realoem, the ones I have listed are the correct parts.

Sorry to regurgitate an old topic, but i've been away for a couple of weeks. Jamesc, if that's a 40mm drop at the rear then I'm certain I either have saloon springs or something lower than 40mm....jamesc wrote:This is my car with the 60/40 H&R kit fitted.......
