Woo hoo!!!!!
Just got my head unit fitted in time for Gaydon.
It's a Sony XAV-A1 with 7" motorized screen!!

Had to put in a lhd centre panel to give it space for the screen to fold out. Lhd panel isn't an exact fit, but it will do for now!!

Really!! That's cheap for a fine

I've tried to fit it on a switch so it works off the handbrake as it should at the touch of a button, but it doesn't wanna work at the mo!!
It would appear foglight switches aren't the straight make/brake they appear to be!!
I'll find a way though!!

Mikey - they're all legendary!! Got the whole lot!!

my mate mounted a switch at the lowest point of handbrake drop, so when hanbrake off it wont work but you could have it working while driving if you lifted the brake a little bit as the handbrake didnt bind for a good 4 inches or so of lift

Cheers mate - lhd panel almost fits!!

Mikey - I've used the twin fog light switch, one connection on each switch goes to the h/u and then the other of one switch is to earth and the other to the handbrake switch as it should be. One switch means it works all the time and the other means it works off the handbrake!!
Got a standard size hole for it already where the window cutoff switch was so i wanted a standard switch to replace it!

Like i say though, that switch doesn't seem to be a straight make/brake. All wiring is good, if i disconnect one cable and touch it on the other pin it works fine, but the switch don't seem to do anything!! Tried a few switches too so i know it's not just a dodgy one!!
Have to get my meter out again and do some more investigating when i get a chance!
Might be easier to just put in an aftermarket switch!

Yeah, i know - that's what one switch does - but i was trying to be clever so i can also have it working off the handbrake as it should at the touch of a button!! Might come in usefull, maybe if i get pulled!
