being honest, if the zone wasn't here would you have moved on to another motor by now? or modified an e30 so much? or kept one so standard! i have to admit the zone has spurred me on to quite an extent... i'd be interested to hear opinions.

Hi Paul,

I've just joined the forum and got my first E30.

I came across the site when googling for info on the car, always wanted one and wanted to find out more about it.

I must say there is a wealth of knowledge on here and good to see so many other enthusiasts about!

Cheers :D

It is a fantastic site but I love all sorts of cars.

It has got me thinking about putting a 5.0 litr V12 in an E28 5-series though!

Maybe my next project after the335i is done! winkeye

The zone hasn't influenced me at all with regard to having the car!! Always had e30's and wanted another since before i knew the zone existed!!!

However, everything i've had done and am doing to the car - that's another story!!
Could've been dodgy k&n filters and crap alloys!! Luckily the zone saved me though - some excellent advice, lots of knowledge and a handy zone shop to spend all my money in!!!

I've loved them ever since I had my first one at the age of 18/19 however god knows what I would of had if I didnt have mine.

The zone has been of great help over the last year!!

I also love the older 911's what with a little one on the way im going to have to take stock and probably go for my motorbike licence next summer or something different.

If it wasnt for the Zone, i'd prob have plenty of £Â£ in the account and be able to afford a proper social life, rather than the current situation where the car is off the road, i have an engine in the garage and am regularly handin large sums of £Â£ over to various institutions particularly BMW

I cant really say the Zone has influence'd me cause i only do what the majority of Zoner's hate to piss them off so No. However i come on the Zone cause it's a great place to chat to people and have a laugh and also to educate the Mtech/alpina rep boyz that there is far more to modding that those 2 things :D

I've also learned quiet a lot about the E30 cause i was always the type just to giv my car to someone and say fix it, but now i can tell them what's wrong and i can tell them how to fix it too so they cant take me for a mug anymore winkeye

Always been an e30 nut, although the zone has been responsible for me meeting some,, : alot of like minded people and chatting online to even more. A vast amount of knowledge is available here too, And all from the personal experience of member's. There's nothing that cant be solved or found in a friendly way due to the nature of this community.

I'd decided i was going to buy my first E30 before i found the site, but when i found it it certainly provided me with a lot of information. Plus somebody told me i was an idiot for not buying my 318iS the first time i looked at it but fortunately it hadn't been sold when i went back again.

If it wasn't for the zone i probably wouldn't have done half the things that i have or gone to any meets, i'm not so sure i would have moved on yet though. One things for sure i wouldn't have bought the touring if it wasn't for the zone!!

i would have bought a chevy impala convertible snoop dogg dr dre s?it by now, the last motor i had was a 69 t-bird show motor, ground scraper 7.0L v8 but i sold it cos it was expensive its still registered on various international sites including AACI imported from miami south coast so owning this is different. coming across this forum / site recently has given me the enthusiasm like what i had with me last motor. nice stuf people

It has probably saved me a lot of money from not having to take the car to the garage for niggly problems :D
And I have been able to get a lot of cheap parts, usually within a day or 2!

But my productivtiy at work has nose-dived since we got the internet there...

That sounds very familiar

As a few have said, I bought my Sport before I found the Zone (the old Zone). It hasnt influenced me to keep the car, but I probably wouldnt have done the engine conversion, or swapped the 2.5 into the touring.

It may of influenced me into buying the touring though

I had my first E30 for 8 years and did lots to it before I knew about the zone. Respray, retrim, alloys, uprated suspension, big sterio etc. I was always into messing with cars and really loved the shape of the E30's.

I always wanted a tourer and really liked Hartge stuff

I only found the Zone after I had owned my tourer for a couple of years. What it has done is encorage me to get on and do things, plus its great for info and advice, I might have made some wrong turns and it has certainly saved me money. Plus I wouldnt be going to meets and shows and having the opportinity to see new things and meet great people.

Sunday I might have been stuck in front of a TV with a good film and a beer, but I was at Gaydon drooling over the cars and yacking about E30's

loved the e30 from the first time i laid eyes on one back in the late 80's. i friend of my fathers had a diamond black sport 325i with schnitzer stripes+wheels. @uck that was a nice motor. when we lived in the pub my fathers friend bought his e30 m3 round, it was white. he took me down the road in it and i can remember it like it was yesterday.
the zone is a great place where people can meet up, get advice, sell and buy stuff e30 related. this site is a god send to all e30 owners.

id still have done what ive done as i like to do my own thing anyway, but it has been very helpful to get other folks opinions and views on things and technical help when needed.its reassuring to know that no matter what problems you come up against there will be someone thats been there and done it before to help you sort it :thumb:

got few a few different cars in my time, then down graded (i thought) from a 350bhp cosworth to a 325 cab so i could buy a place to live, searched on Google and found you lot... now I'm compiling a shopping list of parts to get for the cab instead of doing things indoors
