No, just put a new gasket and clean the surfaces. Sealer stuffs it around, makes the gasket squash out. HTH

Thanks mate, only reason i ask is cos when i took cover off gasket came away in one piece and didnt have to pull it off. oooh matron!!!!!!!!!!
