Didnt quite fit in any other area's.
I cant seem to find a breakdown of parts anywhere. Anyone know what they use to create a H26 conversion.

Apparently...
Uprated suspension, 16" wheels, front brake pads, strut brace, foot rest, speedo, steering wheel, gearknob, single arm wiper.
Engine wise - camshaft, head gasket, rocker cover, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, control unit (ecu)

If you want a breakdown on the H26 spec, you might want to consider translating this through google.

But as i recall from my old H26 the spec was original 325i head, but with headwork consisting of light alloy head, bigger valves, 280 deg cam, Hartge tuned ECU, 6 branch Manifold, Hartge Finned rocker cover, straight through exhaust with single rear silencer. Hartge stamped specially valved springs and dampers, thicker anti roll bars, 40% LSD, Full Hartge bodykit, 16" 7J Hartge Wheels, Hartge Gearstick, Hartge Steering wheel.
I think thats about it. If there were other things then please add.

looking at the brochour (sp) at home, you coulds just order the head, cam and ecu, the core conversion which is still available for £2000 or there abouts, this didnt include the rocker cover
un like alpina, you can pick an chose what you do to the car ie do engine but leave suspension, and exhaust

I would double check with Birds on that price !!!
Headwork alone is more than that normally.
Valves are normally not bigger (Alpina were) but valve cut was unique at the time.

here the prices from 23 feb 2000, a bit old but i cant see to much change from them
these are based on your car being a 2.5
H26 190hp head conversion labour £627.30 parts £714.67 total £1341.96
then you could add a manifold and system for about £1200 !!
then suspension is £577.21 ans £191.88 to fit it
wheels were on special at the time and were only £426.33 !

Suspension is already done (not Hartge)
And I have 15" Hartge wheels
I was just playing with ideas and wondered whats involved, parts wise and labour wise and price looks to be around £1,800
I suppose with the exhaust you would be gettig near the 200hp mark

I might be wrong here, but when I was at Birds the other day, I was having a chat with Kevin and I seem to remember him saying that they don't really have any of the parts needed to perform any of the E30 engine conversions anymore. But that they could probably source them one way or another....

I was having a chat with Maya Hartge at the Gaydon show, she's trying to locate some old school style trim items for me. Im sure she would be able to have a poke around for parts if I was going to go down that route.
It just seems a fair bit of dough for 20hp.
Ant wants me to turbo it but I want to keep the auto

It is alot of money yeah, but nice to have none the less.
Still thinking of building a 2.7 - got a nice 2.5 lump here and I know of a eta bottom end in the vicinty.
Oh and if you do see the sense and go to manual, I will have a good manual box from a 325i here, from a 75k mile car as well.....
