Well i had chance to look at my oil leak today when i took it to a garage to have the tracking/suspension checked after my 4x4 incident! (see general chat)

It looks like its leaking at the back of the sump gasket :D and not the rear crank seal which is good news as i didn't fancy removing the autobox.

Its a 320, how easy is it to access the sump bolts? does the exhaust get in the way?

its a very easy job, just about a million sump bolts  it can be done in a few hours, add some high temp sealant to the gasket as well, you'll need to undo the engine mounts and jack up the engine to move the sump out of the way

yeah, when i had to do the sump on the cab it only took a day and i wasnt really spending the whole time doing it, just find somewhere nice and dry to do it, not kerb side in a puddle of oil when its raining, not nice
