Very interesting day in Wales.

3hr Drive from Manc.

Early doors - Refused entry as I didn't have enough cash, for the Seven Bridge. I couldn't believe they dont take cards. Escorted off the bridge.
I had to drive back into England to a cash point.( You have to pay to go to Wales)

Had my meeting.( I'm a shopfitter)

Surveyed a branch in Pontypool.

Went shopping in Cardiff.

Very nearly drove into a mr2 that spun infront of me on the m50. I had to swerve big style.(Glad I was in the new Golf, as an e30 wouldn't have pulled it off)

Wow the rain was incredible. Standing water pouring off the hills. Running down the motorway.

4hr drive home.(Didn't see any E30's)

Cheers Gareth.

Why did you come across the bridge coming down from Manchester!?

Had to call somewhere on the way down I assume?

Bridge toll is a rip-off.

Simon,

Half asleep, I let the nice Sat Nav lady direct me.

I realised on my way home.

But then drove through the hills/storm.

Yeah, some nasty storms this afternoon!

Coming straight down the M5 then onto M4 probably adds about 3/4 hour onto the journey, and saves the bridge toll too.

Think yourself lucky you weren't driving a lorry or a van!

Chris,

Your lovely motor will be dirty again by the time you get to Gaydon.

Cheers Gareth.

i was driving back from north wales on tuesday and saw a very tidy black e30 M3 driving the other way on i think the A46 iirc.

did the MR2 loose it on the motorway then???? or on a twisty road?

my job involves alot of driving and its amazing how many e30s you still see about that look to be just normal cars rather than that of an enthusiast or modder. :D

MR2 Spun, right infront of me. The worst standing rain I have ever seen.
He lost it, in the rain.

He was side-on in my lane.

I came back over the Pennines from the Retro Cars show a few weeks back, through quite simply the worst storm I've ever seen; Biblical stuff, the road was just a grey swirling mass. Interesting, ain't it?

So, you have to pay to get into Wales now? And people still go?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; Wales - there's no excuse for it.
