Ok Guys, already did a search on this but millions of possible outcomes. I know I should be ashamed, but what's the diff between a tech 1 and a tech 2 car?. Heard about a facelift change in the E30's lifetime but never really sure what this change involved. Also, which car is mine?

Thanks in advance.

Yours is a facelift car. Tech-1 & Tech-2 refer to the bodykits, or to the 325i sports that came with the body kits on them. Tech-1 was the sport bodykit for a pre-facelift car, Tech-2 for the facelift.

Other differences for the facelift were indeed lower compression (& slightly different management) on the 325i, as well as bodywork changes, the most noticable being the swap from chrome to plastic bumpers.

Yours is neither. Tech 1 and 2 refer to the M-Tech bodykit for the 325i sport. Tech 1 is the kit on the early (prefacelift) sports and Tech 2 for the later (postfacelift) sports.

Yours is a Post facelift car.
