How straightforward is it to replace the rear flexi brake pipes on a 325, and does it require fuel tank removal?

No, no need to remove the fuel tank. It's just a bit of a pig reaching the top ones above the beam.

Get yourself some very good quality penetrating fluid (wd40 is a bit weak) from an engineers merchants and give all the joints a good liberal drowning daily for as long as possible before you tackle the job.

Also get hold of a set of brake pipe spanners (like ring spanners but slotted so you can fit them over the pipes), think you need an 11mm and 14mm.

Best of luck,

Yep - 11 and 14 as Iain says. If you're buying them especially, just get the 11mm and use your existing 14.

Mechanics gloves are handy as well!
