I'm looking for a natural black (un-painted) iS lip spoiler.
I guess the only place I'm going to find one is the stealers, new. How much are these? Has anyone bought one new?
Maany thanks.

In primer??? LAME.
Was wanting to go for the 'factory but fast' look. You know what I mean, non body coloured wing mirrors, bumpers, trim etc etc but with deep spoiler and skirts from SE.
Any hope of this or do I have to bite the bullet and get a primed one?

Yea, satin black will look OK.. Easy to paint too.
Just liked the idea that it looked like it had no paint at all.. You know what I mean, with the texture etc (unless BMW plastic aren't like the VW plastics I had on my MK2 golf and are satin to begin with?).
Incidentally, can you get satin black in two pack or am I going for stonechip black/celulose satin black?
Many thanks.

Nice one cass1_5503
Does the invoice specify anything in particular like 'unpainted' or 'not the primer one the zoners are on about'????
Whats the part no..?
Many thanks.

You can buy texture paint to recreate the effect of the textured plastic if it is smooth from new. The smart repairers use it to repair plastic bumpers when they are scuffed. It costs about £12 a can iirc.
If you use it try it on some card first. If the texture is too lumpy heat the can in hot water and try again. The hotter it is the finer the texture.
Then satin black over the top.

We have an autopaint here in Cov. Sometimes these can be good, other times they look at me like I'm a mental!

Ask for S E M maybe that is the manufacturers name of the product I used to use although I think they may have been American suppliers?
This will help you see what I mean basically
http://www.clean-image.co.uk/photos/plastic_repair.htm
And this is the type of stuff I am on about
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AEROSOL-FINE-TEXT ... dZViewItem
If you look in this sellers shop he sells all smart repair products and sells clear texture, fine texture, super texture, etc.
I reckon fine texture used pretty cool (unheated) would be the finish you want
