Hi I have got a 1988 325 cab' & it has got a 3 part system fitted at the moment, I have been offered a two part performance system, can I fit this or will all the mountings be in the wrong places or are there any other problems with swapping it.
Can anyone give me some info'
Cheers
Matt.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but so-called performance systems often reduce the performance, and just increase the noise. Apart from alpina (any others zoners?) especially if you leave the manifold as-is, there is nothing better than the O/E Boysen system.

BMW spent a great deal of money on the E30, and the exhaust they got exactly right.

I wasn't dissin' the quality of anyones exhaust - just that aftermarket ones lose mid-range torque?... now for me overtaking is where it's at, not top speed, so I want as many mid-range torques as possible.

"Cliffybabe"

Get yourself in Pub Talk or something mate! This is a technical section and someone has asked for our advise, not asked for his thread to turn into one of your post hoaring thread's!!

Anyway, back to the question people!!

Yes mate, you can change your 2 piece system to a 3 piece system, everything still line's up
