Hmm, My MPG guage can only be described as sticky!! It seems to hang on to its reading i.e 25MPG long after I have stopped, say when I have got to traffic lights. If I rev the car quickly in nuetral it also makes the guage swing.
The car also seems to be overfueling a bit? I can smell it from outside fairly strongly. I orderd a blue temp sensor today but was just wondering if any one had any ideas with the guage issue? I imagine the two are connected.

The gauge just makes an interpretation between injector duration and road speed as far as I know. If the guage itself is ok then there might be a fuelling issue, the temp sensor is a good place to start. I also find if the oil service light comes on the needle does wacky things, sticks at 50mpg and swings about when at idle/stopped.
