hi everyone, i'm new to this forum and about to get my first bmw :D, not sure if this is the best room or whether it should be in the general section but as i'm more interested in the technical things i posted in here.

the car in question has been sat in dry storage for the best part of 15 years and i was just wondering what possible things to be looking for before taking it onto the road or getting it mot'd. its done around 60k and bodywork, interior is mint.

steering and tyres to checked (change tyres), brakes may have seized but change pads, clean disks minumm requierment, all fluids should be changes, cam belt and tensioner to be changed, check replace all the belts.water, anti freeze, water pump, rad , filters

pretty much everything will need to be checked over

yeh around 15, probably less as its done 60k, its my grandads at the moment and hes a bit of a hoarder so he bought it and didnt really use it. he had an accident years back and since then hasnt really got his enthusiasm for cars like he used to.

ok thanks, i was going to do that anyway, just wondered if there was anything secific i should look out for that goes wrong on these cars.
