I removed the cylinder head at the weekend, and want to get it pressure tested before I reassemble everything. The profile gasket went earlier this year, causing partial loss of coolant, and the engine ran fairly hot for a while (nursed it home 2 miles, topping up with water, coasting when possible) - temp guage didn't quite go into the red, but I'm concerned damage may have been done.

Prior to pressure testing, do the camshafts need to come out? It looks like a PITA of a job - I'd prefer to avoid if possible!
