Hi everyone,

Just been chatting to NIX on the zone - he's got a 60mm Bilstein streetline lowering kit set for sale.

(See http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... ic&t=42495)

I'm pretty keen on getting this fitted, but we are both unsure as to whether this kit would fit a cabby. Nick had this kit fitted to a 318 coupe (I think) but he obviously didn't want to sell this to me if it wasn't going to fit my cab.

Can someone give us some expert advice on this? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to lowering kits, so if you could give me some basic guidance on this I'd be grateful.

For reference, I have a currently unadulterated 1993 K-reg 318i cabrio, currently I have 15" BBS's on them but I will be changing these for a set of 16" Schnitzer wheels in a couple of weeks time, so the lowering kit will need to work with these wheels too (if that makes any difference).

Many thanks in advance !

Cheers

Ben

You need Cabriolet specific springs. They will work fine with the shocks.

H&R ones are the best on the market and cost 176.99 through the zone shop.

Didn't think they would. Was pretty sure of it but thought we'd check with the zone pros before closing the book.

Oh well. Good luck finding a kit mate!

Thanks everyone, appreciated all your considerations. It's good to know that there are people out there who won't screw each other over just for the money. I'm sure the kit will be taken off your hands pretty sharpish anyway. Thanks again.

Cheers
