Just had one of mine done & I don't think it came from the dealer, or was even a specific cab part, so I can't help much but it's at least possible to get the job done!
E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...

i asked at the dealers before i got mine done on the sport
and you get a full quarter panel costs about £220 per side iirc
so i went to a panel place and got arch panels at £16.50 each

wicked at least i know it can be done, have to get the tech2 kit off first that should be fun!!
