those pics give me the horn!
I've possibly got access to some mims too, like on that red one with the Zender front spoiler. is that a zender one or bbs?
Are they funny for getting bits for? Body panels I would assume are a pain but mechanicals OK? Does much E30 stuff bolt straight up? In particular I'm thinking about brakes as I may have acquired a 4 pot manual car

Dips, that link don't work fella, well it don't go to any E21 site
here's the shitter, hopefully will be mine

I think the red one has the BBS front spoiler.
Rust is obviously the biggest problem, but parts supply is surprisingly good. Don't think there is any body panel you can't buy.
Mechanically they are quite good. The biggest problem is the intake side of things. The 323 has a reasonable mechanical fuel injection system, but it can be tempermental at times. Other than that, they all use carbs which are not the best, but nothing a Weber replacement couldn't solve
Also, for bigger power applications, need to make sure the diff doesn't ripped off the body as they can be a little weak in that area.
Swapping parts from an E30 isn't really that easy. Ironically, the engine is the easiest part to interchange between the two cars. Brakes I am not sure about cause I think the rears are not the same (on the 323 anyway, since all 316/320 has drums), but I am not sure about the front.
Wheels from an E30 will need spacers to avoid hitting the track rod ends and you can't use the later type E30 gearboxes since the E21 uses the gearbox to drive the speedo, which the later gearboxes lack.

Shahpor, you've made my night. I'm getting all emotional now. Nice pics. *sniff*
As for brakes, the 323i is unique and shares neither calipers, discs, nor nowt with any other Beemer. Downer. Though I'm sure there are options for "upgrading" - although I've had a drink now and could be wrong. *hic*
The red one has a BBS spoiler, I had an E21 323i* with that very same spoiler. Looks great, but renders the front bumper almost impossible to remove.
*Yes, Kidsinister bangs on about his old 323i again.
Top cars, rust like hell, but an absolute DODDLE to work on. A joy to own, I'd deffo have another.

Glad you liked them Kidsinister
I do have some other really cool pics, but I fear they may be on my currently non functional laptop. Will see if I can dig them out.
As for the brakes, yes there are options for upgrading, although the current most popular method involves 4 pot Volvo calipers!
To be honest, I was never a fan of the BBS front spoiler. I prefer the look of the standard front, or the Alpina splitter.
I also had a 323i a while back and i'll be damned if I don't miss it more than any of the other cars I have owned. I might have to consider another E21 in the near future

Everyone on the Zone should have one - when I'm in charge it'll be the law, don't you know.
My old one's been rebuilt, I'm hoping to get some great pics soon. You can find it on: http://e21.tricord.be/registry/index.php
I'm there somwhere... although the new owner is also on there, and it's looking a lot healthier now.
Less rot. Better paint job. I hope he doesn't want to sell it just yet... I have a habit of finding money I don't have. Which is why I have an Alpina now...

Well, at least you can see that yours is still around and doing well.
I sent mine to that big scrapyard in the sky
Even drove there fine, but there was simply too much rust for it to be worth saving.
Should have taken some bit off as it was running great, even with 198,000 miles on it!
If I had the choice, I would definately take it back, so if I were you I would reclaim yours before you regret it for the rest of your life!

E21 Idea has gone off the boil now as I may have access to a free
1990 325i 4dr in GOLD
with chrome wheel arch trims
But they will defo stay on as will the MIM1900 alloys
with the turbo supra lump under the bonnet it will be a real disgrace for other drivers who try to take the turd on

E21 had to go to make room for the Touring.
Bloody hell everyone seems to know haha, yea she's gonna have to go soon, i'm on a lot less money now i'm doing an apprenticeship so running two E30's at my age is a real push now. Mind you i've been saying that for months and i've still resisted putting her up fo sale

Hoping for lots of hard top E21's to make me feel pig sick, not a fan of the Baurs at all, love E30 cabs though!
