spark plug colour !

hi guys ,when replacing my spark plugs i noticed that they had a sort of sandy colour dust on the ends i was told this is about rite bout but also i read it was a common way of telling that my car is running to lean !? can ne one help ?

wot you got happening to your 320 ? i brought one 2wks ago now just brought another head today for it from scoot325i thanks for the info helped alot jaff
