Dose it matter if the engine i use for a M50 swap is from a E36 auto ?
Do i just fit a manual E36 box on the back of it or can i use my E30 box ?

The engine ECU is the same be it an auto or a manual
You can use the E30 gearbox but you will need to fabricate a mount as it will be rotated 10°
No messing with props and diffs though

So all i need to do then to use my exsisting M20B25 gearbox is to rotate the rubber mounts,DanThe wrote: You can use the E30 gearbox but you will need to fabricate a mount as it will be rotated 10°

No, you need to fabricate a new carrier for the rubber mounts because the gearbox when attatched to the M50 engine will be rotated a further 10°

All you need is a vice and some sort of lever and twist the linkage approx 10° in the opposite direction.
That will sort the gear shift
That will sort the gear shift
