Can anyone help me identify what BM a type 5-5 coding plug on a 13 button OBC came out of?
Type 4-6 is a 325, and I have been told previously that a type 3-1 is an M3. The dash unit was used in the 6 series. Is that the answer to my question?

Hi Chris!
Does the plug have any other numbers on it, from memory it also has the last 3 digits of the BMW 11 digit part number on it.

I've got a list of all the E30 coding plugs, but I do believe the 5-5 TYP is from the 635i.
4-6 is a 325i.
3-1 is a 2.3 M3
3-11 is a US M3
4-5 is the 2.0 S14 (320is)
4-7 is the 2.5 S14 (Evo sport)

Chaps,
Thanks for the answers, mine of all useful information.
To Mark - Good to hear from you, and Simon - respect for being so well informed.
Question has arisen from someone who's got an OBC that doesn't work, or rather having supplied him with a proper E30 loom it does work.
For the record, a 635's OBC will work in an E30, but the loom ain't no good. A 635's loom can be indentified by the fact that everything is bunched up together around the instrument cluster.
Later,
Chris
