Si13, if you read back I said there always comes a time to move on. It was money at the time, and I've gone all sensible and ordered a new motor. Fed up with the Cav, I seem to have endless problems. Once I've saved enough to move out, my next objective will be to buy something different for the track.
If I had unlimited money/space I'd definately have the touring back, I love that car.
Some interesting info on these pages about what Honda did in terms of chassis/engine and so on.
For example my car has twin wishbone suspension, not many hatches had this back when mine was built in 1990.

Twin wishbone rear suspension, read that page mate, full of info.
I'm off the beer at the moment mate, just popping in to see everyone tomorrow. The RR night will be fun though!
Look at how thick the ARBs are on the Teg too.

Bearing in mind this was '97 so it's way way later than E30 development.

yes its true about the 250 brake simon. iv been told its more like 220 brake before things start to go wrong. my mum has a mk4 1.8 turbo an that torque steers all over the shot, only about 180 brake
i must admit that honda is a bit gorgeous, the DC5 is lovely
good info there dave quite a read!

I have to admit they are bloody awesome on juice. Ive had a Integra and a couple of Civic TR's and they are amazing on juice. Bloody quick too, alot quicker than a standard sport, but they are just so 'tinny' and the interior is from a 1987 Datsun. Thats the only reason i dont like em, otherwise they are brill, you get lots of torque steer in first gear tho when caning it,
anyways good luck with it, i m sure the vtec kickin in will keep a smile on your face.

you want to get a yellow jap import if money permitsAdammcf wrote:Havent bought one yet. Still looking for a standard UK model with low miles. Most of them have been ruined by twats sticking on 17" wheels and gay rear lights etc.
Here's a few pics of one I went to look at on monday but its from the Honda dealers and they are asking far too much. I made them an offer but they wouldnt go for it.
i gotta admit the v tech sound is like no other. stick a decent airbox and exhaust on and your living in sound harmony.
a couple of my mates have them but in the other 2 colours... milan red and whatever the black code is. very nice looking cars as long as they are left standard.
why people would want to change the wheels is a mystery cos theyre awesome.
that is the good thing with jap cars...how the fuck they manage 160bhp out of a vti and nearly 200bhp out of a 1.8 teggy is unbelievable. also phenomenal handling around corners but i think an m3 would give it a good run if set up on good suspension. considering the age gaps too.
i personally wouldnt want one i'd just like to have one for a month cos at this time in my life i love rear wheel drive but get on ya mate.
good luck with the teggy

Yes mate, you have chosen a very good car with the teg--proper drivers car and proper focused, you should have lots and lots of fun with this (but i wouldn't mind betting that you will miss the sport's qualitys as soon as it's sold!)

They are two completely different cars, i'd deffo try to keep both.
the integra is a pure buzzbox-sounds like the noises you made when you were 4 and playing with toy cars, not to mention the confusion that comes from wanting to shift at 6k when the engine still has another 3k to go!
the handling is decent, even in stock setup but it still feels different to the e30. They are a lot "tinnier" but honda in particular seem to have perfected the "just enough" build quality- very rarely have I seen a honda that is beyond redemption.
Its also a decent investment (much like a sport) and should increase in value if you look after it.
As for the sport, 6pot, oodles of torque from low down, comfortable ride, easy to work on, and just plain cooler!
tell a chick you drive an integra, and explain about the vtech system, and she's off shagging your mate before you've told her about the 2nd camshaft....
show her the bmw keyring, and go out, open the sunroof for her legs and voila

Yeah for sure.
Well there is this North Weald trackday which I hope goes ahead. Do some 325 eating. M3s would be more of a challenge, but they are so rarely on track (at least at EVERY trackday i've been on) that I've not had a chance as yet.
