Went to Pirtek today to get my Feed sorted properly and while i was there the drain too all in braided etc..

My question is this as everyone here and over the pond have different Views from what ive read..

They had braided with an ID of 6mm..they said they cant go smaller on site cuz of machinery available but will get a smaller ID if needed..So do you think this is OK?

That 6mm hose looked like it could chuck some serious oil through under pressure and i dont want to do this overhaul again..This is a small turbo too conpared to some of your beasts so bare that in mind, not sure its even got a restricting nozzle inside as i cant get in there..

Shall i get the smaller 5mm ID instead?

And as regards to the oil press switch location..im asking for 1/8NPT.. that is correct yes? and not 12mmx1.5

cheers

oil pressure switch is metric Carl, the NPT is only needed @ the turbo end

Malcs M40T is on a 6mm ID braided hose, no issues with oil being lost or burnt duide

the fittings will be smaller i.d than the hose anyway,so dont think you should worry too much on this one? :)

Just not sure if i need some sort of restrictor.. i wanna get this right, first time. Ive been looking at them Yank setups and alot seem to be using the 4/5AN restrictors..no idea what that is though..guessing MM size? mainly to drop pressure rather than flow
