That looks like it was alot of work! I know, I've done one before on another car.

I like it the way you have done it - want more pics, especially when it is finished.

They look great on those Australian touring cars (with flames licking up the rear quarters) so why not an E30?

For it to look right it all depends on the rest of the car! If its heavily modified and either looks like it has lots of power OR it actually has lots of power then its ok. Otherwise its gay.

Where does it come out then? Can't picture it from that photo...

I'd paint the heat shield black, but apart from that side exits are awesome! :D

Blimey, did you cut'n'weld a round pipe to make it oblong?

Pretty impressed if you did!

Can't really see the point in side exit exhausts myself though, unless you need to do it for packaging reasons, but there's plenty of room under then E30.

Ahh... fair 'nuff :thumb:

I think the heat shield just looks too similar (strangely) to the fake stick on halfords ones. :?

I meant support as in positive comments. You asked for opinions so i thought some might be positive, or 'support'

Looking good! Would like to see it with the whole car, doesn't look like a halfords one too much, they are more shiney than that and look toss!

there was one on a Green Pure Performance Factory turboed BMW in PBMW about a year ago with a side exit exhaust, i personally thought it was the only thing that spoilt the car, if i was skilled enough to fabricate and weld like you obviously are i would have gone for a double rear, or a single exit rear. But that would be more for fashion rather than function, if your side exit is more for function (as it would be on a track car) then good work, and i really must commend you on yout inventiveness and welding skills

i have always wanted a side exit exshaust .i think it will make the car look amazing and sound just raw , sod wat this lot say about . will it spoil the look .

id say it will make the car .

id love to have side exit under the drivers side and with 2 slash cut pipes at an angle under the car but i was thinking under the cill not in it .
mainly coz its easyier .
but in the cill is a good idea with the welding

saw a vw scirocco with a drag spec . had the side exit but they just hammer the cill up into the car to make way for it lol looked good for it too
