I dunno. They are meant to be cheaper than tec2's which is good as i wouldn't mind one in future. plus they are faster. Tec1 looks well evil aswel in black!! Espec with pinas. You gonna get one?? Seen one for spares or repair for 500 which i thought was steep.

i got mine for £460 with tax n test
but it needed rear arches bigtime which have now been don it also had pina reps when i got it
but have seen very tidy examples going for 2k plus on a good day
much more menacing looking than a tec 2 and a whole lot cheaper than a good tech 2as well
i wouldnt ever get a tech 2 due to the price difference between the 2
that and a good tech 1 is a better driver car imo

I love tech 1s , especially with black leather, they are great breakers.
Alas the days of picking them up for £100 are over, probably because there are only 7 1/2 left and you zoners keep telling the owners that they are collectible !

I sold y old Tech 1 2 years ago this month for £3850 a good one ( ie solid and historied as mine was) is worth that all day long imhobut have seen very tidy examples going for 2k plus on a good day
Funny though, when I had my Tech 1, the zone was full of peeps claiming the tech 2's to be the more desirable car, my how times have changed
Tech 1's rule, tech 2's just rust under the kit.

Tech 1s rock, not many about now, becoming rare due to rust.
The prices are all over the place depending on condition.
Mines never going to be a show car unless i throw a silly amount of dollar at it, and ive allready spent a small fortune on it so far, probably about 4k in the last 3 years easy.
I am just going to enjoy it as it is now its quite solid and mechanicaly sound, probaly keep her another 2 or 3 years or untill it gets too expensive mot time.

Yes, I guess there's no telling what lurks beneath the Tech II kit until you take it off. Whereas you can watch the rust develop on your Tech I!Tech 1's rule, tech 2's just rust under the kit.
A good Tech I is worth 2.5K all day long in my opinion, in fact I saw one going for £2,750 earlier this year and it wasn't right. A half-decent Tech I can be had for about 1 - 1.5K I guess - it's just a question of finding one - not easy as so many have been ragged, shagged and chaved. Shitters are not worth buying unless you have a need for donor parts as it will cost a lot to get one to mint condition. Just my opinion.
At the end of the day "a car is worth as much as you are prepared to pay for it"

as i said, i think the body is straight as can be,, as they both work together in different areas of body maintainance,, so rust i dont think is an issue, will go check it out tommorow... if the body is really good,, and mechanicals are bad... which i have a feeling they will be as hes busted a diff,,,, hence you can only guess what hes been doing ;) worth a 1200??

early sports are not very desirable anymore.
to pull 2k for one means it will have to be very very good. but there are not many around, ants old one was stunning.
many people who try and offload these early sports are deluded by the silly prices of the later sports. so they think there rotten/tired/counciled scrap is a sought after classic worth £1900. they are always plenty on ebay.
i was offered a non running d reg sport, in black, 17 inch alloys, with body issues. he wanted £900, and keeped playing on the fact that it was a classic. some people have to stop dreaming.
