indicator signal cabin noise

does anyone know which component makes the turn indicator ticking noise inside the cabin please? and would this be straight forward to swap for a ford unit? i've always found the ticking noise to be too loud and harsh. the same noise in my scrote van is much more refined....

the relay is mounted under the steering boss.
you can easilly muffle the noise by adding foam to the inside of the lower cover.

or by turning your stereo up,thats what i do when i hear an odd noise

fuzzy - the stereo in mine sometimes gets turned up.... but sometimes the missus is a passenger.

i find that if my missus is in the car the stereo is up loud anyway to drown out the nagging

cor blimey that was quick! you must have had that picture all ready lined up... so it's the grey one yes? (i'll probably be able to hear/feel it working when i get the panel off) and i won't have any issues if i wrap it about heat build up or anything else sinister will i?
