its difficult due to no rear shelf (although i have seen cars with speakers in the rear door that closes over the folded down roof, but looked shite)

the best way is to custom build some pods inot the front doors and run componant speakers in there. i think even some zoners are offereing these pods alrady built, try A1BMW325iSPORT he knows a thing or two about car stereos and should be able to point you i the right direction.

if you look at the thread about subs in cabs a bit further down the list you will get an idea what i did about that too.

You are not going to get fantastic quality from a cab because...its a cab but i can listen to music at 90 with the top down

i also only have the largest speakers possible in the factory locations (footwell and rear arm rests) running Pioneer 3 way up front and JVC 2 way in the rear, and a 1000W JBL sub in a ported box ran from a 450W Infinity amp.

Roof down at 120-140kph it is good, roof down with windows up it is clearish, at any speed less then 100kph it is very good and clear, plenty of bass, but decent lower midrange is lacking due to me only having smaller speakers,

i intend to run the interior speakers from an amp rather then the head unit, this will make then sound much better. winter project.
